As always, this place is always amazing. Love the ambiance of dim lights, casual yet swanky dining vibe, and excellent good. Great service. Had the seafood enchiladas...again. A favorite. Perfect for sharing or taking leftovers home. The starter chips are perfectly salted and the trio dips-chipotle, bean and pico de gallo are so flavorful. Very filling meal and always perfect!

This is a high end Mexican chain in So. Ca. We have been to several of their restaraunts in Laguna, San Clemente & San Diego. There are 2 Nicks.... 1.Nicks for burgers, seafood, salads etc. 2.South of Nicks which is Mexican fare. Both have delicious eats. The service is top notch. The chicken enchiladas with both poblano & mole sauce were super tasty. Prices are high here. So be prepared for that. Food is an A+ More complex flavors than your average Mexican restaurant. Beautiful presentation of the dishes

South of Nicks is a great spot for date night, happy hours or celebrations. The food is all delicious and the margaritas are amazing! Service is great. I came on my birthday and all of the staff signed a card for me. Super cute!

Came here for a date night and was really satisfied with our meal. Joshua was a huge help and was super kind and helpful towards us as well. I ordered the El Jefe Burrito and a Mojito with it and my gf ordered the Birria Tacos with a Paloma. Both of us were pleasantly suprised with the portion size. The burrito is massive, seriously huge. I only ate half of it and took the rest home. The only complaint I have is the fries inside the burrito kind of adds an extra oily feeling to it that's not needed in my opinion. You also get chips before your meal that comes with 3 dips that are awesome, beans and two salsas. We ended the night with the Warm Butter Cake and it seriously was a good treat to have at the end. Overall an amazing time here at Nick's!

First time coming here. Found a parking lot behind the restaurant that was shared with Verizon. I was really surprised at home much I loved the food here. Best chips and salsa I think I've ever had. The guacamole that comes with La Tablita was also excellent as well as the beans and rice. The shrimp was probably the best I've ever had as well and we go to a lot of these upscale Mexican restaurants. The drinks were tasty and a good pour. I would say the only thing I wished they had was a seafood plate with the shrimp and lobster. Or La Tablita with that offered as an option.

It was so unique and amazing! The servers are so friendly and fun. I got a seafood stuffed chile relleno and it was out of this world. The ambiance of the restaurant is so eclectic and cool. You're gonna love it!

South of Nicks is always a great location I'm a sucker for their Birria tacos, full of flavor and freshly made. The services is always nice here. Views can't be beat, what a great place to watch the world go by.

Craving Mexican food we decided to lunch at South of Nick's today, one of our favorite places to go for Mexican food. Service is always great, servers are friendly and very polite, nice ambience and the food is always delicious! Today I tried something different and ordered the mini soft taco platter. It comes with 4 street sized tacos, each with a different protein, carnitas, chicken, ranchera beef and portobello mushroom. All were delicious and I can't decide which I liked the best! I would definitely order this again. My husband always orders the El Jefe with carnitas which seems like it keeps getting bigger and bigger each time we come here! South of Nick's Never disappoints and is a solid place to satisfy your Mexican food craving.

Another visit to one of my favorites. Great service by Owen, my water glass filled every time. I love the jefe burrito and the salads. I was too full to eat the cake. Amazing atmosphere. Patron and location. Most of all Nick restaurants has best service centered staff along with great food and people. You can tell a restaurant base on the attention to its restrooms. Well done for three generations of nicks. I do miss the ward or cold towel service which was a nice experience. I know I can ask for it but before was great.

Best high end Mexican in The OC! 5 star all day. I wish it wasn't so popular but it's packed every day for a reason. Food service bar restaurant all 5 star. Great spot to sit at the bar for date night or get a table with the fam. Plancha plates are killer Birria tacos are killer Drinks killer Jefe Burrito will feed you are 2 days.
